-Michael Katz, owner of Village Pizza in New Paltz
When asked about his philosophy towards work, Katz said, “Give it everything you have. Strive to be the best, and when you’re the best, strive to be better. Go all out or don’t go out at all.” But this isn’t just his work philosophy—it is also his life one. This led him to his decision to start another chapter in his life and become a business owner.
Before the end of the interview, Katz gave his final statement of what mark he would like to leave on the business community. He said, “If I leave one mark on the business world I’d hope it would be that a celebration of diversity, both in cuisine and in community, coupled with a dedication to outstanding customer service, is a recipe for tremendous success!”
Through his display of passion, his drive for success, and his avid devotion to the community, Michael Katz is a role model to those that surround him. Although he only recently embarked on his journey with Village Pizza, he’s already taken great strides and he was officially recognized for it at this years’ Business Recognition Awards dinner. If you manage to run into Katz, don’t forget to congratulate him on this wonderful achievement! He deserves it!
