Coworking space maverick, One EPIC Place, and the New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce are collaborating on a new way to serve the local business community, poised to help small businesses and entrepreneurs navigate the current uncertainties of 2020 and beyond all under one roof.
"Art is a unifying voice that reminds us of what brings us together. With so much stress, division and depression; we wanted to bring a project to our community that was uplifting, inspiring, and hopefully spread a little joy." 34 local artists have created 45 peace poles and peace sculptures; hosted at 18 local businesses in the First Annual Community of Peace: A Study of what Brings Us Together outdoor exhibit. Organized and launched by The New Paltz Chamber of Commerce, led by Sheila Gilday - Chapter President, and coordinated by Board Member Liz Glover Wilson (Stone Wave Yoga and Sunflower Art Studios, along with project co-chair Marcy Bernstein (ROOST Studios). This self guided outdoor exhibit is up now, and will remain on display until November 28th. We encourage the community to visit, take photos, and consider making a donation or bidding on your favorite piece. These will look awesome in gardens, in front of businesses, and schools.
We will be launching our on-line auction mid-November . All proceeds go towards a artists scholarship from the Regional Chamber of Commerce at New Paltz Foundation. |
