Experience the activities and lifestyles of the first people who inhabited the Mid-Hudson Valley, the Algonquian Native Americans. Campers will mold a clay pot, dramatize companion planting, play Native American games and more! A Native American guest artist will engage campers in a dynamic storytelling session. Life Drawing Sessions
Unison Art Center, 68 Mountain Rest Rd., New Paltz
Unison offers a life-drawing session every Tuesday and Thursday to give professional artists and students an opportunity to work with experienced models under controlled lighting. There is no instruction. Tuesday sessions are dedicated to shorter poses of 1 to 30 minutes. On Thursdays there will be one 2-hour pose for those wanting to do more highly-resolved drawing or painting. $36 members, $48 non-members for a series of 4 sessions.
