Early Morning Birders
Minnewaska State Park Preserve, New Paltz
Designed for birding enthusiasts or those just looking to learn the basics, this series will offer various outings led by experienced birding volunteers and park naturalists. Participants will meet at the main Park entrance every Tuesday morning. In April, May, September and October, outings will begin at 8:00 a.m. and in June, July and August outings will begin at 7:00 a.m. Participants should come prepared with binoculars and a field guide. Mid-Hudson Children's Museum Half-Day Summer Camp: Fossils and Fun

From dinosaurs to mastodons, encounter the creatures that roamed the earth long ago! Young paleontologists will dig for fossils and learn how to make their own! Experience the Ice Age habitat of the Hyde Park Mastodon in our new exhibit. Climb up a tree to gaze eyeball to eye socket with a a 12-foot tall Mastodon! Registration required. Life Drawing Sessions
Unison Art Center, 68 Mountain Rest Rd., New Paltz
Unison offers a life-drawing session every Tuesday and Thursday to give professional artists and students an opportunity to work with experienced models under controlled lighting. There is no instruction. Tuesday sessions are dedicated to shorter poses of 1 to 30 minutes. On Thursdays there will be one 2-hour pose for those wanting to do more highly-resolved drawing or painting. $36 members, $48 non-members for a series of 4 sessions.
