Alan Heyman, Managing Director, SMLR Group

Mr. Heyman, and his group have developed over the years a singular expertise in compliance with the latest state and federal cybersecurity, and digital privacy laws. Alan, a lecturer and columnist, is fully certified by the IBM Internet Security Solution’s Group in all phases of IT and Cyber Security. Alan has spoken at more the 57 Cyber Security and Social Media seminars over the last few years and has written extensively about the field. Mr. Heyman is a graduate of the City College of NY with a BA and the NYU Graduate School of Business with an MBA.

Kelly Morrissey Gamma has been the Marketing Manager for SERVPRO® of Kingston/New Paltz for over 8 years. Starting the department from the ground up after graduating Marist College in 2008, Kelly certainly knows the ins-and-outs of the cleaning and restoration industry.  Kelly’s parents, Gil & Sheryl Morrissey, started their franchise in the basement of their home and have been servicing the Hudson Valley for over 20 years! Abe Uchitelle, Director of Business Development, DragonSearch Marketing

Abe leads business development at DragonSearch. Abe's background includes work with a software start-up, political campaigns, and in the cycling industry. Abe studied Political Science and Philosophy at SUNY New Paltz and enjoys keeping his finger on the pulse of the software start-up space. Abe is also an avid cyclist and outdoors-man.

Ted Clark, Lecturer of Marketing and Strategy, SUNY New Paltz

Ted Clark is a full-time lecturer in the areas of marketing and strategic management. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration from Marist College in 1981, his M.B.A., concentrating in both marketing and management, from Long Island University in 1987 and studied for a PhD in strategic management at SUNY Albany.  Prior to starting his academic career, Professor Clark spent ten years in management positions with Equifax, Marine Midland Bank (HSBC) and the National Bank of Westchester. His corporate positions included sales manager, business development officer and Assistant Vice-President, Charge Card Division.  Prof Clark is also the Director of Ted Clark and Associates, a marketing consulting firm in the Hudson Valley.


Personal Selling

There are three interactive stages of the selling process: What must be done before the sales call, during, and after. In this workshop, Professor Clark will walk attendees through all three stages to improve the selling process.
